Christmas is only 2 weeks away! So it is time to give you a quick home tour of my holiday decor.  


I’ve already showed you my exterior decorations, so today is the day we move to the interior!


I”ve already talked about my “ugly” Christmas tree and how much it means to me, so we’ll start with the rest of the living room.
 I’m actually going to do a separate post on my Christmas mantels, so I won’t be talking about those today, but the rest of the room is filled with the super traditional colors of Christmas. Ornaments now fill my DIY spray-painted vintage baskets with my sheet metal faux locker tags.


On the other shelves I used some glittered pine cones, which tied into the bowl of pine cones on the coffee table.



In the kitchen, I set up these cute little winter vignettes inside some glass jars.
This teenie doll house red wagon filled with tiny brown paper packages just makes me smile every time I see it.  The packages are only about 1/2 inch wide!

I have a few more bottle brush trees set up on some of the other shelves, along with some nutcrackers.
Of course the kids wanted to set up their own scene, so we couldn’t leave out Anna and Olaf:

The dining room also got the royal decorating treatment:

I repeated the motif of stars in this room.  Silver glittered stars hang over the dining room table:
I picked them up last year after christmas was over and I love them:


I also have star lanterns (from Ikea) and a large gold star over the Nativity on the right hand side of the room:

This is a “Christmas Pageant” nativity made by Lizzie High.  My mom handed it down to me when I got married. 
When I turn off the chandelier in this room, the Christmas tree and those lanterns still throw enough light to give the room a warm glow.

On the side of the room I have the “kid’s tree” which I let them completely decorate on their own.
And just like the post I wrote yesterday about Ugly trees being the most meaningful ones, this little tree also reflects the kids’ personality completely:

On the large mirror on the back wall, I hung my iced silver sparkly wreath. (Because we are in a duplex this room has no windows since that back wall is shared with the neighbor)
Repeating the silver sparkle of the wreath and the stars are my wire christmas trees on the sideboard.
Along with my little glass boxes filled with Frankincense and Myrrh
It is quite the festive space and we’re looking forward to using it for Christmas dinner!
