Today I’m sharing a quick and simple Christmas project that looks absolutely fabulous. These mason jar frosted lanterns would be gorgeous in a window on as table centerpiece. They are so easy to make and cost virtually nothing!
I upcycled some jars out of the recycling bin, and used trims I already had on hand. The only thing you may need to buy is fake snow (Buffalo Snow) but I had some leftover from last year's apothecary jar vignettes.
As an added bonus, this is just one of 8 projects this month based on candles as part of this month’s Create and Share Challenge. Lots of fun ideas if you are a candle lover!

Supplies:
Mason or Other Empty Glass Jars (Mine were left over from peanut butter and spaghetti sauce)
Silver Metallic Spray Paint (I used Krylon Maxx)
Mod Podge or White School Glue
Buffalo Snow or Glitter (I used a mix of traditional and iridescent flake snow)
Floral picks, faux greens, bakers twine etc.
LED tea light candles
Step 1:
To decorate the upper edge of the jar, spray it with metallic spray paint.
Only paint the top of the jar, and allow the paint to taper out. This will allow the light from the candle to show through.
Cover entire lower surface in Mod Podge or School Glue. 
Step 3:
Sprinkle generously with buffalo snow. You may need to press it into the glue to get full coverage, especially the flake type of snow.
Step 4:
Decorate rim. I tied on small green sprigs and berries with baker’s twine and jute string. For a cleaner look you could also leave them plain.

You could make a lo of these in next to no time. They would be so pretty for a holiday party or even a wedding! The sky is the limit!
